Anthony Liggins is a Miami-based artist who finds joy and freedom in making art that creates a personal connection with people who share his passion for life. His body of work includes abstract expressionist paintings, mixed media work, and sculpture. An artist with global reach and appeal, Liggins has been creating artwork for over two decades and has held 13 major group museum showings in the US and Europe and exhibitions at some of the most highly regarded venues including the Smithsonian Institute, the US Department of State Show, Longmont Museum, the Michener Art Museum and, most recently, the Tubman Museum in Georgia. In November of 2019, Liggins launched a new gallery concept in Hamburg, Germany called Kiss Bang Art Studios.
Liggins’ artwork speaks to a wide audience and is collected by professional athletes, musicians, and actors. Among his notable collectors are athletes Khalil Mack and Kareem Jackson, singer Marc Anthony, and actors Jennifer Lawrence, Angela Bassett, and Hallie Berry. Liggins’ artwork has also been featured in numerous design and architecture publications and TV shows as well as feature films such as Oprah’s Queen Sugar and Tyler Perry Studios’ Good Deeds. Liggins is also a supporter of various philanthropic organizations and events. Most recently, he participated in the live auction event for the Icon Awards 2019 honoring Al Pacino, Quincy Jones, and Evander Holyfield. Liggins is also the author of the award-winning look book, Art is Love, Love is an Art and was featured on the cover of Brickell Magazine’s September/October “Miami Chic” editorial.
